The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating operational purchasing, shipping, supplier integration plan activities and system maintenance for raw material requirements needed to support daily operations. Assure required sub-component and raw material inventory levels are effectively managed.
What will you be doing?Manages materials planning team to maintain high service levels/product availability and optimized inventory levels.Coordinates with sourcing and quality teams to maintain an effective supplier performance program to meet GMP requirements.Serves as the primary contact for product availability & capacity information and plays a key role in the introduction of new products into the facility.Manages the administration of procurement supply agreements through SAP blanket or discreet purchase orders and other contracts for MRO, production services, and finished goods. Ensures processes and procedures are in place to adhere to operational agreements.Supports the information systems where required to effectively monitor departmental activities and supply performance.Ensure the right quantities and qualities of goods and services incl. raw materials, consumables (incl. tools for milling and turning operations), supplies and spare parts are on order and that the delivery dates are in-line with the goals provided by Planning as well as with the actual quantities reflected in the MRP system to support the Operations as well as all SG&A processesConsolidate necessary information from internal customers to define Min-/Max inventory levels and ensures compliance of order levels with these Min-/Max inventory levelsEnsure that order confirmations and delivery dates for inbound goods and services are followed-up and communicated accordingly to the internal customers (= other departments)Supports supplier relationships managementEvaluate the purchasing processes continually in order to implement faster and more efficient processes in compliance with our company goals and quality standardsIn collaboration with the Supply Chain Director, plans for, hires, fires, places, trains and develops staff and lead, challenge and motivate employees in his/her area of responsibility, performs employee evaluations, sets targets, plans for succession, completes qualification matrices and defines as well as ensures execution of development / continuing education / disciplining measures.Develop and control the respective budgets for his/her area of responsibilityEnsure compliance with legal and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibilityEnsure compliance to ISO-, OSHA- and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards in his/her area of responsibilityMaintain standard of knowledge up-to-date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures
What will you need to be successful?Strong computer skills required, knowledge of SAP ERP systems a mustBachelor's degree (B. A.) from College or university, 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 5 years' experience leading Purchasing departments, preferably in automotive, manufacturing and/or assembly operations and experience in optimization of purchasing processes
