This position will assume the responsibility of maintaining and repairing awide array of automation and electrical equipment associated with upstreamonshore oil and gas producing operations.
Provide on-site automation support for upstream onshore oil and gas producingoperations.
Serve as technical resource for facility controls systems and fieldinstrumentation including level, pressure, flow, vibration, and otherinstruments.
Ensure maintenance activities are executed in compliance with relevantindustry and corporate Process Control standards.
Follow PLC programming practices, standards, and MOC procedures.
Identify problem areas with instrumentation and control systems to determinestrategic improvement opportunities.
Leverage CMMS, such as SAP, to facilitate the processes of maintenanceoperations.
QualificationsQualifications:
High School diploma or GED
3+ years of Oil Field experience.
Intermediate knowledge of well RTU designs, programming and troubleshooting.
Intermediate knowledge of analog and discrete instrumentation, and variousserial and ethernet communications protocols.
Intermediate knowledge of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC,NFPA, IEEE, ISA, etc.).
Basic knowledge of maintaining PLC programs in function block, ladderlogic, and structured text.
Basic knowledge of maintaining local HMI operator interfaces.
Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights,weekends, holidays and participate in an on-call rotation. Schedules mayvary depending on location.
Ability and willingness to travel to unassigned job areas on an as-neededbasis.
Ability and willingness to work under air (fit test) and work from aerialmanlift platform.
Works safely around instrumentation and electrical systems.
Capable of working responsibly with limited supervision.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) andWindows Operating Systems.Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Automation with GPA of 3.0 or higher (or foreignequivalent).
2-year Instrumentation or Automation technology degree with a GPA of 2.5 orhigher (or foreign equivalent), or equivalent technical workingexperience with a good track record of safety.
5+ years of Oil Field experience.
1+ years of upstream oil and gas automation experience.
Experience with Allen-Bradley & Rosemount.
Able to read and understand Cause & Effects, P&ID's, wiringdiagrams, control narratives, etc.
