In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for Patient care equipment(s), Patient Chargeable' s and "Bill Only' s". Supervision is received from an administrative or clerical supervisor who provides advice and assistance on difficult problems and reviews work for satisfactory performance in accordance with departmental regulations. Perform a variety of duties relative to the assigned area of responsibility. Provides full time coverage within CS during co-worker PTO's and absences. The position requires the ability to communicate and work closely and efficiently with others in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Listed below are the typical duties and responsibilities of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Essential Functions:Processes Cerner requisitions dailyReviews equipment Inventory levels dailyDefines strategies to maintain inventory at an optimum level through various operations, including adjustments of reorder points and order quantities and analysis of stock requirements.Interfaces with Purchasing and Warehouse managers in design, development, and implementation of systems through effective communication and knowledge of their respective operations.Audits system reports and statistics to monitor adherence to quality standards and takes corrective actions as necessary to maximize department efficiency and to minimize costs where possible.Maintains stock procurement to provide optimum stock levels which are consistent with turning inventory 10 times per year.Timely and accurate posting of patient charged items and OR" Bill Only's."Resolves all operational problems to assure that the user's requirements are met, and a continuous flow of product is never compromised.Coordinates operations with the Finance department including month-end and year-end closing.Utilizes various computer programs to meet specific hospital department needs which are outside the normal operation of the application software.Assists in the planning and facilitating physical inventories.Assists in researching and reconciling any variance between physical counts and system counts.Works with departments to develop systems to control unofficial inventory.Performance measurements include cycle count statistics, expired product statistics, implementation statistics for replacement of discontinued products and any other quantifiable measure for special projects or research, stock out ratio, inventory days on hand, turns, percentage of non-moving inventory.Assists as required in other department duties such as order pulling, product returns and other tasks as assigned.Sterile Processing Par managementAble to cover OR Inventory SpecialistSupervisory Responsibilities:Has the ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.Required Qualifications:Methods and techniques of handling equipment, materials, and supplies.Principles and procedures of record keeping.Modern office procedures, methods or materials and equipment including computers.Basic mathematical principles.Possesses flexibility and ability to adapt to new situations, procedures, and routines.Good work and attendance record.Education and/or Experience:High School graduateMathematical Skills:Ability to perform basic math skills.Reasoning Ability:Ability to prioritize and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis where li
