[SC00]The Supplier Diversity Consultant is a member of the Supplier Diversity team within the Supply Chain organization. This team is responsible for ensuring that diverse suppliers are at the forefront in sourcing activities as well as reporting both externally and internally to key stakeholders on the status of our supplier diversity program.This position can be sited at any location within the FirstEnergy service territory. (OH, PA, WV, NJ & MD)Responsibilities include:Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, demonstrating professionalism at all times, and showing mutual respect for teammates and suppliersBeing aware of, and adhering to, applicable company and Supply Chain policies and proceduresMaintaining responsibility for managing FirstEnergy's supplier diversity programsProvide strategic direction to business units across FirstEnergy to increase adoption and utilization of diverse vendorsResponsible for managing FirstEnergy's supplier diversity programResponsible for creating both internal and external plans and reports relative to supplier diversity planning and spendPresent supplier diversity plans and program status to internal leadership as well as state agenciesParticipate in strategic planning with sourcing teams to ensure diverse suppliers are at the forefront of sourcing decisionsProvide strategic direction to business units across FirstEnergy to increase adoption and utilization of diverse vendorsSynthesis of supplier diversity data to develop reporting for both internal and external audiences.Develop and display expertise in understanding FirstEnergy's supplier diversity program to convey opportunities and goals as well as their reasoning to employees and external stakeholdersImplementing process improvement to create efficiencies.Accountable for regular and ad hoc reportingPerforming special projects as required and any other duties as assignedQualifications include:Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline is required and a minimum 13 years' related work experience.In lieu of a degree, 15 years of related experience required. Related work experience includes previous supplier diversity analysis and management.
