Job Description Summary
In this role you will be a member of the Supplier Support Team as part of the larger Edison Works Engineering Delivery Team. You will be responsible for partnering with suppliers to resolve drawing interpretation concerns, part producibility issues, quality and inspection concerns, MRB disposition, and any other area that will facilitate the timely and accurate manufacturing of engine parts. The goal of the Supplier Development Team is to provide any support needed to suppliers and act as a rapid communication channel between suppliers and the Edison Works Engineering, Product Ops, and Sourcing Teams.

Roles and Responsibilities
Serves as primary engineering point of contact for suppliers to support and strategize manufacturing and delivery of components.
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve manufacturing and delivery of components. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in supplier relations. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
Member of functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Design Engineering
Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD SECRET clearance.
Desired Characteristics
Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
5 years' experience in Design, Quality or Manufacturing Engineering
Existing DOD Security Clearance
Demonstrated experience with collaborative and strategic supplier relations
Demonstrated knowledge of model based enterprise (MBE) and model based definition (MBD)
Demonstrated experience using LEAN Methodologies with a Continuous Improvement Mindset
Familiarity with Teamcenter, Siemens NX, non-conformance disposition
Ability to travel up to 25%
Experience in the design and manufacture of complex, precise aerospace parts.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills
