Responsibilities
As the Supplier Quality Engineer for John Deere Specialty Products (https://bit.ly/JohnDeere_SpecialtyProducts_Canada_GoogleMaps) based in Langley, BC, Canada, you will enjoy partnering with current Suppliers, Supply Management, and Operations personnel to support production processes, and you will be instrumental for ensuring that John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations.
In addition, you will...
Investigate, identify, communicate, and resolve supplier quality issues
Provide technical support for factory operations for current products
Oversee dispositions for non-conforming products
Coordinate supplier quality inspections and sorting activities
Provide guidance to subcontractors and suppliers and serve as their primary contact person
Partner with the supply base to perform audits
Utilize quality data to drive continuous improvement of manufacturing procedures and processes and eliminate potential future quality defects
What Skills You Need
Ability to effectively communicate and solve problems
Two or more (2+) years of quality expertise in manufacturing or a related discipline
Versed in quality management principles, tactical quality tools, and special processes controls
A track record of performing in a team environment
What Makes You Stand Out
Knowledge of NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action) and/or 8D processes
Familiar with using and applying quality tools and methods such as FMEA, SPC, and Root-Cause Analysis
Experience in manufacturing engineering, supply management, quality engineering, or operations
Affiliation with a quality-related professional society such as ASQ (American Society for Quality)
Programming experience in Python or Java
Education
