Summary About the Position: This position is located at the HQS USA TNG Center & FT Jackson Soldier Support Institute Adjutant General School. This position is a Temporary Promotion that can be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition. Responsibilities Works under the general supervision of the Adjutant General School Director of Training (DoT), who assigns projects on a continuing basis or provides objectives to be accomplished. Independently supervise, lead and mentor both military and civilian Advanced Individual Training (AIT) instructors. Serves as a subject matter expert, resource supplier, and research, evaluate, and develop training materials, standards, guides, methods, and aids. Directs and supervises Advanced Individual Training (AIT) instructors in the day-to-day execution of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training to support the Adjutant General School Commandant’s academic training requirements. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes:1) designing, develop, and implementation of training and other related activities; 2) managing faculty training courses, instructor proficiency, and other aspects of training effectiveness; 3) attending training classes on automated equipment, and other courses as required by management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
