Summary About the Position: This position is location in Fort Knox, KY with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command HQ, Human Resources Directorate, Personnel Management Division, Officer Management Branch. Responsibilities Resolve technical work problems not covered by precedents or established policies. Review records with assignment recommendations of officers for special or temporary duties. Provide written instructions to assign work or clarify published guidelines. Promote awareness to provisions of programs such as Equal Opportunity and other similar special emphasis programs. Establish operating guidelines to implement procedures that improve operating effectiveness. Coordinate implementation of policy requirements in the areas of administration support services. Produce reports or other data to identify problems in accuracy, adequacy, or adherence to procedures. Identify essential training for subordinate staff. Supervise officer personnel based upon determination of needs of organizations. Prepare information pertaining to officer personnel to include briefing comments for presentation. Resolve routine disciplinary problems or complaints. Establish performance standards to best evaluate subordinates work. Assign work based upon selective factors such as difficulty of assignments, available resources, capabilities and/or special qualifications. Oversee the overall coordination of the personnel staff in order to brief management within the Department of Army (DA). Direct daily operations to ensure accomplishment of all required functions, e.g., officer HR accounting, reports, and administrative actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
