About SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Talent Management and Evaluation Division (Code 50) of a U.S. Fleet Forces Command Human Resources Office (FLTHRO) of FLEET HRO NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will provide advisory support to all levels of executive leadership, management and staff regarding the complexities of technically sound and innovative staffing, compensation and classification solutions. You will design and carry out complex studies and projects involving program development, evaluation, and operations. You will plan the programs within the division and provide assignments to be accomplished together with subordinate supervisors; set and adjust project goals and priorities, and prepare work completion schedules. You will identify employees developmental and training needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying concepts, principles, and practices of various human resource specialties assigned to the Division and the ability to apply that knowledge to perform complex advisory services in the areas of Recruitment/Compensation/Classification. Experience serving as a management team member and provide new and advisory Programs on organization-wide strategic plans and complex organizational issues that would impact the services provided by the Division. Experience presenting complex ideas and options with the Recruitment/Compensation/Classification Programs to a wide range of audiences. Experience developing recommendations for legislation that would modify the programs and evaluate new or modified legislation for projected impact upon existing agency programs.
