Summary This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Financial Operations and Acquisitions Management in Washington, D.C. The incumbent manages a Contract Operations Team and is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance for Federal procurement policy, planning, and requirements development. Responsibilities DUTIES: Supervises a contract operations team consisting of five to seven full time employees who are contracting officers and contract specialists. Performs reviews of contract actions on a pre and post award basis. Develops or ensures proper execution of comprehensive procurement strategies. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a non-bargaining unit position. This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-14: At least 4-years of experience in contracting or related positions. At least one (1) year of that experience must have been specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: planning acquisition approaches; and supervising acquisition professionals; and advising senior leadership and program offices regarding acquisition approaches. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. AND Education Requirement:A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours (36 quarter hours) in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
