Overview
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Quality Control Supervisor (Sensory)- 1st Shift is responsible for monitoring and guiding day to day testing activities in the Sensory laboratory. The Supervisor works with and trains Analysts, Chemists, and Technicians to conduct testing on raw materials and final products, reviews test results for accuracy and assures the tests adhere to internal SOPs and guidelines. Will communicate to other departments outside of the QC lab to report test results for release, screening, and stability. Will maintain the bench work in compliance with cGMP & ISO 17025 requirements including Herbalife protocols, policies and procedures.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Leads laboratory compliance and adherence to SOPs and test methods.
Provides reports to management pertaining to laboratory activities.
Handles OOS investigations.
Provides training on cGMP compliance in laboratory operations.
Supports other Supervisors in interacting with regulatory authorities on laboratory compliance.
Participates in auditing and regulatory inspections.
Evaluates Chemists/Analysts on laboratory practices
Provides troubleshooting guidance and potential solutions for laboratory problems.
Ensures scheduled tasks are completed by Analysts/Chemists.
Responsible for producing high quality laboratory data.
Responsible for and empowered to stop an analysis that may produce poor quality results as required by ISO 17025.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

Experience:
5 years’ experience performing analytical chemistry testing in a laboratory environment
Prior experience leading projects or other initiatives.
Laboratory Compliance experience
Education:
Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific subject area
GMP Course Training
Regulatory training
Knowledge of Microsoft Office---word, Excel and power point
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Laboratory Supervisory Experience
Pharmaceutical or Nutraceutical GMP experience
Materials testing & Laboratory testing experience
Microsoft Office Course
Trouble shooting experience
