　　Summary:

　　The Nursing Supervisor Perioperative in collaboration with the Perioperative Director and Nurse Managers supervises and coordinates the activities of the perioperative departments (PST, MAPU, OR, PACU, ASU, CSPD). The Nursing Supervisor engages in a variety of procedures through interpretation of the hospital and department policy and procedures for staff personnel; participates in the investigation and preparation of reports to improve patient care, safety, education development and personnel performance. The Nursing Supervisor in collaboration with the peri-operative leadership is responsible for ensuring appropriate staff is available.

　　EDUCATION

　　Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

　　Current New York State Registration

　　Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

　　BLS and ACLS certification or ACLS within 6 months of placement in this position

　　Certification in Perioperative Nursing OR leadership desired within three (3) years of placement in this position

　　EXPERIENCE

　　Minimum of three (3) years perioperative experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
