This job is considered to be a hands-on Supervisory position in which an individual is expected to provide assistance to the Press Room Manager, Assembly Manager, and Plant Manager as well as acting as a technical troubleshooter. The primary responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include directing job assignments and providing technical hands on leadership to the production staff. As a member of MAS management, this position is responsible for conveying a professional attitude towards other employees while recognizing the responsibility to meet production schedules and customer commitments. Another key aspect of this position is the selection and training of new employees and employees working on new jobs.
Responsibilities
Ensure that work practices are within the guidelines set by OSHA standardsOversee and maintain safety practices in accordance with safe operationsFollow all ISO requirements (proper books at each job, correct information per job, signed operator versatility matrix and process verification sheets per job)Ensure that all quality checks are being performed , 1^st^ and last offs completedConfirm that all quality alerts are communicated and signed by entire teamEnsure that proper labeling and part identification is on all product, both internal use and direct shipPlan and execute production schedule, providing supervision and direction to all team membersSupervise and assist in the training of production processes to all new team members as well as team members that are in need of assistance.Communicate shift activity to all team members (presses to be ran, goals to be accomplished, unique items for the day, explanation of missed opportunities).Assist in running and troubleshooting production jobs, both new and old.Work closely with peers to develop good team working relationship and cross shift team communication and relationshipsReview production records for completeness and accuracy including production boards being filled outIssue discipline when required (safety violations, attendance, behavior)Recognize good behavior and work ethic (comment on good effort, pass out "caught you being good" cards).Complete OSHA 10 CertificationQualifications
