Position Summary/Purpose:

Get paid to work remotely in the fall and spring as well as the summer. We are looking hire those that can tutor in math and or computer science. Our aim is to provide one on one academic support to online university students who need help in either in ITT-111, CST-105, BIT-200, MAT-144 and MAT-154. Tutors work remotely but must reside in the state of Arizona in or to work.

Qualifications:

Computer Science Tutors must have completed one of the following with a minimum of an "A-": ITT-111 or CST-105

Math Tutors must have completed one of the following with at mimum of an "A-": MAT-144 or MAT-154.

Must have a minimum 3.5GPA average

Have good communication skill on the phone.

Self-driven

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

Provide tutoring/coaching for students; reviewing course lectures, homework, etc.

Review diagnostic assessments of students.

Make outbound calls to set up tutoring appointments.

Update CRM database with specific appointment notes.

Maintain confidentiality of student records and services provided.

May be requested to perform administrative duties as needed.

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.

Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting: 2-8 hours a day

Fine Eye to Hand Coordination: Continuously

Work Environment: Remote. Must reside and work within a 30 mile radius of main campus.

Pay Rate: $15.00

Expected End Date: June 30, 2025
