　　Duties Description Nature and ScopeDASNY provides financing and construction services to public and private universities, not-for-profit healthcare facilities and other institutions that serve the public good. DASNY is divided into five major divisions: Construction Services, Counsel, Executive Direction, Finance & Information Services, Public Finance and Portfolio Monitoring. The Construction Services division provides design, engineering, procurement and project management services to DASNY clients. The Project Controls department within the Construction Services division supports all phases of construction and rehabilitation projects, including cost estimate and schedule reviews, and negotiating change orders and claims. Major clients include the State University of New York (SUNY), New York State Department of Health (DOH), City University of New York (CUNY), New York City Health & Hospital Corporation (NYC HHC), and New York City Courts Administration.Primary PurposeUnder the supervision of a Senior Cost Control Analyst, Senior Manager of Project Estimating or Director of Construction Administration, serves in a temporary capacity as a DASNY student intern for construction project controls. Student interns may also participate in educational opportunities designed to inform interns on DASNY business operations and other important business topics.Essential FunctionsAssist in a wide range of cost estimating and/or scheduling related tasks required for the management of an active design and construction project as listed below, and manage sub-tasks as assigned.Assist in preparation of cost estimates.Assist in reviewing cost estimates developed by others.Attend various meetings including project design and planning, pre-bid, pre-construction award, job, progress and change order meetings.Assist in the review of designs, plans, specifications, addenda and change orders for the purposes of estimating construction costs.Assist in evaluation of change proposals and in preparation of change orders.Assist in the collection and organization of project data related to cost and schedule.Assist in the performance of other special assignments in areas of cost and schedule management.Use construction software programs including Primavera Expedition and CAD programs.Undertake special assignments as directed.Must adhere to the NYS Information Security Policy Standards established and issued by the Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination.
