  Job Summary

  Ambassadors assist all College of Lake County students, with the navigation of and connection with student engagement resources. Services provided by the Ambassadors will include assisting with event promotions, student engagement, and other Student Affairs Division initiatives. This role would assist in the daily operation of Lancer Engage software as it exists to aid in student success and engagement, as well as to further student wellness initiatives on campus (e.g., Counseling and Psychological Services promotion). The role of a Lancer Engage Ambassador is one that involves motivation, passion and enthusiasm. While a Lancer Engage Ambassador will always have an assigned task for their given shift, flexibility is needed.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  Lancer Engage Software

  Assist students to sign up and register with Lancer Engage.

  Add and edit events into the Lancer Engage database.

  Send push notifications and/or reminders about upcoming events.

  Assist in facilitating Lancer Engage workshops for CLC departments, and/or student clubs/organizations.

  Regular communication via GroupMe with Lancer Engage Ambassador team and supervisor.

  Printing out event QR codes or having event QR codes ready on work iPad/tablet. This includes returning work iPad/tablet after tabling or events and making sure it is charged.

  Promotions, Engagement, and Customer Service

  Engaging with students in a friendly and outgoing manner at pop-up events around campus, which can include tabling, promoting future pop-ups and answering questions.

  Regular tabling on campus to promote student engagement, student health and wellness, and other Student Affairs events.

  Assisting Student Affairs personnel as needed at events.

  Motivating and encouraging student participation at all events.

  Promote various student services available at CLC .

  Other duties as assigned.

  Responsibilities to Your Team and Supervisor

  Attend scheduled team meetings.

  Attend all ambassador training sessions.

  Ensure proper coverage at all events / initiatives.

  Required Qualification(s)

  Must be a CLC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the semester.

  Must maintain a “C average” (2.0 GPA ) in college credit courses.

  Be able to work with a diverse population of students who have varied needs for assistance.

  Have an outgoing, positive attitude, with a willingness to play a key role in student support.

  Be able to work independently and as a part of a team.

  Demonstrate initiative, dependability and reliability. Have a genuine interest in supporting college student engagement.

  Dedicated hard worker with excellent communication skills, proficient in basic computer skills (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Forms and Teams).

  Attach an availability schedule with application.

  Desired Qualification(s)

  Experience in using Lancer Engage as a student. Strong public speaking skills. Bilingual or multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

  Total Hours per week Up to 20 hours a week.

  Work Schedule

  Hours will vary, and dependent on programs, initiatives, and need. Open to any hours between 10am to 8pm Monday – Friday. Position runs through the end of the academic year and works up to 20 hours a week.
