The project manager is responsible for client communication and leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives on LJB projects.PROJECT MANAGER MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for fees and the profitability of a project.Point person for firm's contact with the client.Primary sales and marketing person for existing clients through work on projects.Assists in new client sales.Ability to secure work in industrial, health care, multi-family, cold-storage, manufacturing, or data center markets through existing relationships.Guides and coordinates all disciplines with outside consultants and the end user.Has a basic understanding of what the other disciplines do and what they require.Responsible for the nine knowledge areas (according to PMI) that are associated with each phase of the project they are managing including:Project Integration ManagementProject Scope ManagementProject Time ManagementProject Cost ManagementProject Quality ManagementProject Human Resource ManagementProject Communications ManagementProject Risk ManagementProject Procurement ManagementResponsible for maintaining PM best practices. On larger projects, PM may or may not be involved directly in the design.Apprises Operations Leader or Service Leader of employee performance on particular projects.Provide information to the Operations Leader on future projects so they can manage staffing.
