Description:

　　A nationally recognized, locally-owned consulting engineering firm has a great opportunity in the west metro St. Louis area for a full-time Structural Engineer in the design and construction of a variety of structures ranging from medical, commercial, retail and institutional buildings. This person will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design, generating design estimates and proposals, report preparation, drawing production supervision, client interface, and some field observation work.

　　Minimum qualifications:

　　B.S degree in Engineering with a focus in structural engineering (from a US ABET accredited university)

　　Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration (EIT)

　　Knowledge of current structural building codes

　　Basic Revit (able to open up documents in revit, pick out structural designs etc.)

　　RAM, Enercalc, A-dapt (concrete) experience or similar programs

　　Good Communication skills on project scope over phone for calls, conference calls and team meetings.

　　Experience: with at least one of the following Building materials: steel frame, wood, cold form, concrete

　　Experience with some of the following Project types: apartments, retail buildings, office, hotel, industrial new building design and construction

　　Experience with Bluebeam (marking up drawings and sent to support staff) ideally or similar program

　　Experience working remotely

　　Analysis and design experience including lateral systems, seismic design, a solid understanding of load paths, foundations and framing systems, connections, and layout and detailing of different material systems such as steel, concrete and wood.

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Masters Degree preferred but not required

　　4+ years' of experience

　　Experience working in structural engineering software such as Enercalc and RAM

　　Familiarity with CAD/Revit software

　　Ideally PE license (or EIT with plans to take PE)
