Responsibilities include performing stress analysis and relatedactivities for new and derivative designs of interior furnishings andamenities as part of outfitting new aircraft. This includes review ofengineering models and drawings, preparing load calculations, finiteelement models, and writing stress reports in collaboration with theStructural Engineering group and Structural AR\'s providing approvals.Example designs include custom cabinetry such as galleys, lavatories,closets, and other storage compartments, interior peripheries,water/waste systems, entertainment equipment installations, and seatinginstallations. Analysis of airframe modifications to meet therequirements of interior installation is also involved. Additionalresponsibilities include aircraft level analysis such as decompressionand floor loading analysis. Analysis is done utilizing Classical handanalysis and Finite Element Modeling using FEMAP with Nastran.Candidates should have some stress analysis experience, preferably in anaircraft OEM Completions environment. Experience with CATIA V5 CADsoftware and FEA experience with FEMAP preferred. Assignments areexecuted under the direction of the Engineering Lead or Group Head tomeet Engineering, Certification and manufacturing schedules. Analysismethods and design standards to be employed are consistent with companystandards and accepted methods. Additional responsibilities are outlinedin the job description and as assigned.
