  Position Overview

  Responsible for the safety, operations, scheduling, training,quality, coaching and productivity of all earthwork & grading crewpersonnel and equipment within United Companies. Ensure efficient productionwhile supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of United Companiesand CR

  Wage ranges from $75k to $85k annually, dependent on experience.

  Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with CRH Core Values atthe forefront.Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.Supervise Foreman ; indirectly oversee field personnel.Ensure jobs are completed on schedule, within budget and meet customer'sexpectations.Serve as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and locallaws, as well as Company safety policy.Proactively identify and remedy job-site hazards.Set the production schedule along with the Construction Manager and ProjectManagers.Collaborate with Construction Manager and Project Manager to ensure resources(human, material, and equipment) are properly managed, utilized andaccurately accounted for.Develop and modify work processes to ensure the highest standards forquality, productivity, and profitability.Collaborate with the Sales Team to coordinate and deliver exceptional customerservice and a quality product.Attend bid reviews and pre-construction conferences.Make certain that all jobs are reviewed and correctly laid out before crewsarrive on site.Develop and maintain quality controls.Represent the Company and interact professionally with customers, vendors,sub-contractors, and the public.Motivate, mentor, and develop direct reports.Complete administrative tasks promptly and efficiently, daily time sheetapproval, coding of invoices, job-site hazard analysis, mileagereports, other required reports.Hiring and disciplinary lead for all grading crew personnel.Administer D.O.T. and CDL compliance for all department employees.Any and all other duties assigned. Duties,responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or withoutnotice.Ensure that all operations are in full compliance with federal, state, andlocal regulations including OSHA, MSHA, etc.Monitor construction operational performance against budget, performance,target setting, and quality standards.Identify and implement operational performance optimization opportunities toenhance the company's financial returns.Implement and manage the equipment and construction production maintenancebest practices, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, planning,scheduling, preventive maintenance, and equipment utilization.Assist Accounting in construction production and costs.Manage the personnel via department leaders in accordance with theorganization's policies and applicable employment laws. This includestraining employees, planning, assigning, and directing work,appraising performance, rewarding employees, disciplining employees,long term personnel development and succession planning, as well asaddressing complaints and resolving problems.

  Qualifications

  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.

  Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or 10 yearsrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation, training, and experience.Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations required.

  Work RequirementsMust be proficient in Microsoft suite of tools including Excel, Word andOutlook, and database software. Must be able to utilize internet andcommunicate effectively.Must be 18 years in age or older.Pre-empl yment physical, drug screen and criminal background check will berequired.Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in theEmployee Handbook.Standard state-issued driver's license

  Knowledge/Skill RequirementsDemonstrated ability to train, motive and lead employees.Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws.Demonstrate basic mathematical skills as well as the ability to interpret andcompute basic formulas.Willingness and ability to work in and adapt to changes in circumstances,tasks, customer needs and other conditions that may affect their dailyresponsibilities.Ability to cope well in stressful environments and communicate professionally.Demonstrate a strong dedication to meeting the needs and expectations of ourexternal customers.Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist theteam with other duties as required.Ability to facilitate change management and influence positive responses.
