Your Role: What you'll be doing
Job responsibilities include performing strength, fatigue, and fractureanalysis for structural componentsThe candidate will be required to create analysis models, perform handcalculations, and have an understanding of analysis best practices toprovide strength inputs and recommendations for new designs,installations, ground, and handling equipment.Candidate will be required to review and approve 3-D engineering layouts,3-D models, designs/drawings and 2-D drawing changes for a variety ofmechanical system components.The candidate will make engineering design recommendations with considerationof thermal, mechanical, and pressure loading using appropriate materialproperties, configurations, safety factors, etc.Analysis results will be documented in strength reports. Additionally, thecandidate will support internal peer reviews, tabletop reviews, and formaldesign reviews as needed. Will also need to support fast-paceddesign/analysis cycles and be able to evaluate hardware non-conformances tosupport production activities.Candidate will participate in internal/external design reviews, andtechnical interchange meetings (TIMs), and may be expected to presentanalysis products at preliminary/critical design reviews (PDR/CDR).

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from anaccredited college or university is required.Experience working with cross-functional teamsFundamental knowledge of statics and mechanics of materialsStrong self-initiativeAttention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced developmentenvironmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of analysis tools and methodology such as:NASTRAN (Static, Modal, Dynamic and Non-Linear Analysis Solutions)FEMAP pre/post processorAbility to make design recommendations based on analysis resultsGood interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to workeffectively in a team environment are essentialGeneral understanding of material propertiesExperience analyzing structural components (machined primary/secondarystructure)Understanding of bolted joint modeling and analysisUnderstanding of GD&T standards and principlesUnderstanding of analysis best practices and underlying assumptionsUnderstanding of basic hand calculationsStrong communication skills and ability to lead analysis teams
