In this project management and commodity management development role, you will support the execution of a machining sourcing strategy for your commodity group, to realize a challenging Annual Operating Plan by helping plan and prepare to negotiate best value supplier contracts to increase productivity savings year over year, minimize cost, and ensure continuity of supply such that we meet our deliverables to our customers.
You will
Help ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulatory requirements, and policies and procedures
Partner with our Category Management and Supply Chain team to manage the execution of strategic sourcing events, transition projects, and process improvement initiatives
Leverage your business acumen, data analysis and functional expertise to contribute to the strategic direction of our Machining sourcing business segment.
Plan, develop, and manage or execute multiple projects to improve our cost performance, support negotiation planning, and support Machining Commodity Managers in supplier selection.
Own supplier contracts, helping to create, renew, amend contracts to protect Honeywell interests including cost and continuity of supply.
Work with Law and Contracts, Supplier Readiness, Supplier Transitions, Value Engineering, New Product Sourcing, Procurement, and Business leaders.
Report directly to the Sr. Director, Strategic Sourcing for the Machining Category
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in Subcontracts, Procurement and/or Supplier Management
WE VALUE
We value candidates who may have one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration, or Engineering Discipline
Ability to draft and secure approval of non-disclosure agreements, long term contract (LTC) amendments, and novation agreements
Experience supporting negotiating planning and tactics to beat the minimum acceptable position for terms and conditions, lead time, and price for all contracts and modifications
Experience ensuring subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements
Procurement experience within aerospace technologies or similar industry
Ability to contribute to knowledge management, continuous improvement, and organizational development to enable world class sourcing practices. Ability to lead and drive change, and influence and mentor others.
Strong business acumen with ability to understand and align to key business drivers, exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to create effective relationships, influence prioritization, and collaborate at all organizational levels with our internal business partners, stakeholders, and with our suppliers
5+ years of professional experience working within large matrixed organizations with a proven track record of innovation, delivery, and results
Expertise in Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Ability to clearly hear and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences. Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up-like atmosphere. Ability to consistently make timely decisions while balancing conflicting goals in an ambiguous environment.
