The Strategic Accounts Manager interacts with Chairs,Faculty, Educational Technologists, and other key players within HigherEducation institutions.The Strategic Accounts Manager's primary focus is todrive course, departmental, and divisional sales, sell-through andgrowth through extensive on-campus work. The Strategic Accounts Manager isexpected to travel extensively to call on Tier 1 university and communitycollege targets, especially during the height of the spring and fall sellingseasons. Travel also includes regional and national conferences, salesmeetings, and occasional visits to the corporate offices. The StrategicAccounts Manager will report to a Regional Manager.The Strategic Accounts Manager's primary focus is to drive course,departmental, and divisional sales, sell-through and growth throughextensive on-campus work. The Strategic Accounts Managerwill report to their respective RM.How you will make an impact:Growth:Work with a team of Account Executives to determine where campus visits willbest drive incremental growth.Represent zyBooks on those campus visits to create new leads, move existingleads through the pipeline, and close business through presentations andface-to-face interaction.Raise the profile of zyBooks within a region by securing meetings withdepartmental chairs, co-chairs, course coordinators and keydecision-makers, as well as heads of online learning and centers forteaching and learning innovation. Participate and lead sessions in nationalsales meetings, regional meetings, and regional conferences.Provide post-adoption on-boarding, training and support for key adoptions.Knowledge:Develop deep product knowledge, valued dialog of zyBooks content, thezyBooks platform, and competitors.Develop deep knowledge of academic trends and new learning technologies.Market Development Sales Development:Assist in identifying key customers that can play a role in advancing zyBookscontent, platform, and user experience.Assist with planning and implementation of regional meetings and nationalsales meetings.Support a healthy and productive team environment.What we look for:5-7 years of sales experience in the industry preferredBachelor's DegreeDirect line manager experience in the industry preferredA record of success in sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceednew business sales acquisition goalsParticular experience selling to STEM college-level faculty and administratorsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work as an effective internal influencer and teammateWorking knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.comHighly motivated and organized.
