Don't hesitate to apply.Summary:The Mixing Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tendingto machines that mix ingredients used for production and ensures resultscomply with specified batch requirements.Measures of Success:Reads work orders to determine batch specifications or information.Weighs or measures ingredients to ensure conformance to batch requirements.Dumps or pours specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.Mixes or blends ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specifiedtimes.Clears jammed materials or other items from machinery or equipment.Observes the mixing process and monitors equipment to ensure safe andefficient operation.Collects samples of mixes for testing.Uses a forklift or other equipment to move, dump or transfer raw materialsto mixing equipment.Keeps area clean, safe, and up to code.Ability to lift to 50 pounds; ability to sit, stand and /or walk for upto 3 hours at a time in an 8-hour day; ability to frequently grasp,push, pull, bend and climb.The above-noted measures of success are not intended to describe, indetail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to provide ageneral sense of the responsibilities and expectations of the position. As thenature of business demands change so, too, may the essential functions ofthis position.Candidate Attributes:High school diploma or GED preferred.1+ years previous production experience in a manufacturing facility, orsimilar relevant experience preferred.1+ years previous machine operation experience preferred.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.General mechanical aptitude.Basic computer skills.Basic math skills.Knowledge of production and plant processes.Attention to detail.Meets attendance requirements and is on time.Work Environment:Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, productirritants, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.Occasionally required to work in high places and confined spaces.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
