One full-time position available:
Training period 90 days to six (6) months
Primary Training location is in South Burlington, Vermont
Upon successfully completing training, the Store Manager in Training will move into a full-time, exempt position as a Retail Store Manager at a designated store
Job Summary:
The Store Manager in Training, under the supervision of an assigned Store Manager and Regional Director of Store Operations, works within the specified program duration to develop and exhibit knowledge, understanding, and excellence in crucial store and donation center operations management. The Store Manager in Training, working within Goodwill Northern New England’s Citizenship Behaviors scope, integrates social, economic, and environmental triple bottom-line objectives into thinking, planning, and action.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-year successful supervisory experience at Goodwill; or 1+ year successful store manager/assistant store manager experience with full P&L responsibility in a small box or C-Store environment; or 1+ years of successful management experience in a big box environment
Ability to work a full-time schedule, including early morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
Ability to work in or transfer to other locations as needed.

Eagerness and ability to successfully learn and grow within the role and the company.
Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude to be a great teammate, role model, and effective leader.

Financial, administrative, and computer literacy are necessary to complete the role's responsibilities.
Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record and insurance meeting agency standards
A criminal background check that meets Agency standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
4-year college or Bachelor’s Degree
Prior retail experience as a supervisor or manager
CPR and First Aid Certification
Multi-lingual including ASL
Prior multi-unit retail experience
