As an intern, you will have the chance to assist visitors in exploring and enjoying the wonders of Pennsylvania's breathtaking state parks.   DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis internship will allow you to expand your skills in a State Park setting. You will have the opportunity to plan, prepare, and execute specialized park improvement projects, while interning at the Presque Isle State Park Complex. Throughout your internship, you will work closely with park staff, observing and assisting them in a range of projects. This invaluable experience will provide you with insights into park operations and management, including maintenance and marina operation.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Student may work nights and weekends, not to exceed 37.5 hours a week. Typical hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree, 2 year degree,  or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors.Park ManagementFacilities MaintenanceEngineeringAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or universityAdditional Requirements:

  This position requires possession of a valid driver's license that is not under suspension.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
