　　Team Information:

　　LinkedIn's Machine Learning Engineers are both data/research scientists and software engineers, who develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms. Unlike other companies that separate these roles, our engineers work on projects from ideation to implementation.

　　The Ads Ranking team is responsible for AI models and infrastructure in the Marketing Solutions business ($5.5B+) at LinkedIn. The team works on diverse infrastructure problems across deep-learning inference with tight SLAs, end-to-end signal latency for content embeddings, large scale (1B+ param) model training, near-real-time signal gathering and low-latency systems for model inference.

　　Responsibilities:

　　• Solve cutting-edge ML/AI infrastructure problems that empower large & small businesses to reach, engage, and convert professional audiences at scale.

　　• Design and develop solutions involving large amounts of data, and multiple interconnected ML inference and data systems

　　• Write production quality code and influence the next generation of LinkedIn’s engineering solutions.

　　• Collaborate across the team (10+ engineers) and multiple orgs to deliver impact on Ads for LinkedIn news feed and other placements.

　　• Build scalable AI innovations with foundation and infrastructure partners

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

　　• 4+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.

　　• 4+ years experience programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, etc.

　　Preferred Qualifications: 

　　• 7+ years of relevant experience building distributed internet-scale systems and machine learning infrastructure

　　• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline

　　•Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies

　　• Working knowledge in one or more of the following: machine learning (ML), data mining, information retrieval, search or statistics

　　• Ability to diagnose technical problems, debug code, and automate routine tasks

　　• Experience working with streaming solutions (Kafka, Samza, etc.)

　　• Track record of producing research papers and/or earning patents

　　Suggested Skills:

　　• Experience leading engineers to tackle large-scale Machine Learning (AI) problems

　　• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems

　　• Knowledge of machine learning, optimization algorithms, and/or deep learning

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
