　　The opportunity

　　The Business Solutions team serves as the Asia representative of the General Account COO organization. The team combines technical expertise with GA front office investment knowledge to address Asia-specific challenges related to technology, reporting, and data.

　　The Business Solutions team is responsible for overseeing the technology transformation from Excel/Access based end-user tools to modern platforms for investment analysis and decision-making in Asia. Depending on the technology being deployed, the team either directly delivers prototype solutions or acts as a communication bridge for Asia GA front office.

　　The Business Solutions team takes the lead in optimizing reporting and developing an Asia data strategy that satisfies country-specific requirements. Given the diversity and complexity of Asia markets, the team identifies unique reporting needs and leverages visualization tools such as Power BI to digitalize production and close any coverage gaps.

　　How will you create impact?

　　Reporting to the AVP Business Solutions, the Manager/Director, Business Solutions is accountable for providing technical & analytical expertise and effective task-oriental support for the Asia General Account Investments ("Asia GA"). With such support, the front office teams of Asia GA remain focused on markets directly, while relying on the Business Solutions team for a holistic view of GA investment information.

　　Responsibilities

　　Work in collaboration with Asia GA to identify business challenges and explore opportunities in technology transformation, reporting optimization, and data analytics.

　　Support the AVP Business Solutions to draw an Asia GA data map that captures investment processes and associated data flows. The data map will be used to identify data gaps and prioritize deliveries.

　　Review exiting Asia GA reporting inventory. Build self-serve Power BI reports with automated production and digitalized distribution to replace Excel-based reports.

　　Act as the contact point for special data requests of portfolio information and investment activities.

　　Coach and develop junior talents located at Hong Kong office to deliver COO Asia priorities. Foster a collaborative, client-oriented and forward-thinking team culture.

　　What we are looking for

　　University degree or other advanced degree pertaining to investments and finance; 5 to 7 years’ minimum previous experience in the financial services industry

　　CFA designation or equivalent

　　Demonstrated knowledge of fixed income and private asset investments in global markets and particularly Asia markets

　　High level of business acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills

　　Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize work and work well under pressure in a demanding, deadline-driven environment are a necessity

　　Highly developed computer skills using MS Excel, MS Access, Visual Basic for Applications, Bloomberg, Power BI, and SQL. Experience with cloud-based information systems.

　　Experience in Investments / Treasury / ALM / Risk Management a definite asset.
