Responsible for coordinating admissions, discharges and transfers of patients to Nationwide Children's Hospital, assist with emergency department referrals and enables access to pediatric specialist consultation. Acts as a liaison between patient care services staff, medical staff, supervisors, and the Admitting Department and external providers to facilitate the patient admission/transfer process.Demonstrates competencies defined (*) in the Physician Consult/Transfer Nurse responsibilities providing age appropriate care to patients from the age of birth through 21 years and select adults.Practices in accordance with Nationwide Children's Hospital mission and philosophy, and Hospital policies and procedures.
