This Position is for a Staff Pharmacist with a company located in Flowood.

Our goal at The Transplant Pharmacy (a subsidiary of CareDx, Inc) is to provide the best pharmaceutical care in the country, and we are looking for a part-time staff pharmacist to join us in Flowood, MS to help us maintain that mission.
Duties And Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve the goals of the company. Commitment to providing exceptional patient care that makes patients feel important and appreciated. Responsible for being professional, displaying a positive attitude, and communicating well with patients and other healthcare team members. Dispense medications to patients accurately and efficiently, ensuring laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and ethical standards are followed. Input new prescriptions while looking at existing medications and patient profiles to ensure that no drug-drug or drug-disease interactions exist. Verify the work of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns, including accuracy of all prescriptions filled. Follow all state and federal laws regarding personal license application/renewal and pharmacy permitting. Maintain established procedures for quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and dispensing/disposal of hazardous drugs. Communicate information effectively and professionally with patients, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, nurse practitioners, physicians, and other healthcare team members. Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal laws and guidelines, including HIPAA, Fraud, Waste and Abuse (Medicare), and DEA Procedures. Counsel patients regarding prescription and over the counter therapies. Participate in all aspects of the workflow process. These include but are not limited to- receiving and interpreting medication orders/prescriptions, screening for interactions and/or side effects, accurate dispensing of prescription medication, taking phone calls, and completing transactions via the point-of-sale. Administer immunizations. Assist the Pharmacy Manager with implementing any changes to workflow or policies and procedures.

Education and Qualifications: 5 years relevant experience preferred. PharmD or B.S. from accredited college of Pharmacy. Active state licensure (Mississippi Board of Pharmacy) with no disciplinary action. Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.). Must possess ability to work collaboratively in accomplishing tasks, as well as effectively communicating with fellow members of the pharmacy staff. Team oriented individual that excels at seeing needs, stepping in, and fulfilling the needed tasks, however big or small they may be. Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to increase clinical knowledge. Proficiency in PioneerRx is preferred but not required. Retail Specialty Pharmacy experience is preferred but not required Good interpersonal communication and computer skills. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, adding machines and typewriters. Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Close attention to detail and good organizational and analytical skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Regular and reliable attendance. Works cooperatively with others.
