We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. A Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in the accurate and timely reporting of financial statements, accruals reserves, capital projects and special projects within Millerbernd Manufacturing Company. This is an onsite opportunity and will be based in Winsted, Minnesota.
As a Staff Accountant, you will:
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with MMC’s policies, GAAP, and applicable laws
Process necessary month end journal entries and transactions
Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and assist in researching General Ledger variances
Assist with asset management reconciliation
Assist with bank and financial audits
Complete various surveys as needed
Backup for payroll, A/P and A/R when needed
Role Qualifications as a Staff Accountant include:
Qualified candidates will have an accounting degree and one (1) to five (5) years of accounting experience. Other combinations of formal training and experience will be considered.
Experience working within a company ERP system, Epicor preferred
Knowledge of loan amortization schedules, depreciation, discounts and interest calculations
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents
Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks and changing priorities
Must have the capacity to interpret an extensive variety of technical information in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
