Description
We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in the Willamette Valley. This role will involve handling Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close tasks, among others. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Maintain and update the general ledger regularly
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform month-end close tasks in a timely manner
• Work closely with the HR department to coordinate financial operations
• Utilize ERP for various accounting tasks
• Assist in training entry-level candidates and potentially, a senior accountant down the line
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations
• Respond to and resolve any finance-related inquiries.
Requirements
• Candidate should possess experience manufacturing
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations and maintain General Ledger
• Experience in preparing Journal Entries and managing Month End Close
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Must adhere to strict confidentiality and data privacy standards
• Must have legal rights to work in the location of the job
