Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Norcross, Georgia. The role involves managing the financial aspects of projects, providing thorough reporting and analytical support for project leadership, and facilitating the day-to-day financial operations. The industry is focused on accountancy and financial management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of project accounting such as job cost tracking, revenue recognition, project budgeting, and forecasting
• Prepare and submit quarterly and yearly financial reports
• Maintain all necessary accounting records for projects
• Process accounts payable and receivables, analyzing and auditing related information
• Assist with the company's month-end and year-end close procedures
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards
• Provide financial analysis as needed, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Collaborate with the project team to improve financial processes and reporting
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Must have working knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
