　　This is a union position and will report directly to the Service Division Manager in our Edmonton Office. As a Service Plumber, you will perform some or all of the following duties:

　　Installing, trouble shooting and repairing and maintaining plumbing systems

　　Installing and repairing various types of piping systems and materials

　　Installing and troubleshooting boilers and hydronic zone systems

　　Drain/Sewer cleaning

　　Reading and interpreting blueprints

　　Working with customers and other contractors on site

　　Ordering parts from suppliers

　　Mostly commercial and light industrial work

　　Other duties as assigned

　　EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

　　Plumbing and Gasfitter B Trade certification

　　Gasfitter A is an asset

　　Cross Connection ticket, preferred

　　Stays current on the plumbing industry and code

　　WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

　　At least 3 years years experience as Plumber in a Service setting; experience working in commercial and industrial settings, preferredSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

　　Knowledgeable in hot water heating systems; basic knowledge of pumps and boilers

　　Available for emergency out-of-hours duties / on-call rotation schedule

　　Member of UA Local 488 or willing to join

　　Valid Provincial Driver's License and must follow company vehicle policy

　　Excellent verbal and written communications skills required; ability to follow instructions and must be able to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers

　　Ability to use mobile devices, tablets and related technology and programs efficiently

　　Maintains a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees and customer; professional in appearance

　　Maintains clear and courteous two way radio and/or phone etiquette

　　Must comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards

　　Ability to work independently but is also a team player; committed to working in a quality environment

　　Physical requirements include bending, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 45 lbs; ability to climb ladders; walking/standing for periods of time
