Based in the San Antonio, Texas area, this exciting short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity is set in an engaging work place where hard work is rewarded. As Staff Accountant, your duties will include preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. Be prepared to dedicate a fair amount of time to producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. You will also be in charge of many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In addition, your responsibilities include communicating with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, playing an active role in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes.

Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings

Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules

Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments

Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision

Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed

Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP

Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments

Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation Requirements - Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

Skilled with ERP systems

Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Spanish Language experience

Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

Strong familiarity with 3 Way Matching

Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Proven knowledge of English Language

QuickBooks experience

Competent with spreadsheets and databases

Self-starter and strong ethical standards

Recent and relevant accounting experience

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Spreadsheet and database capabilities

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
