　　New role located near George Bush Intercontinental Airport! Our client, a privately held logistics company with operations all throughout the US, is looking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team on a direct hire basis.

　　Responsibilities will include:

　　Perform day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, assist in the financial statement preparation and month end close process as well as be involved in some treasury activities.

　　Responsible for account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records and identify any discrepancies.

　　Support and help in filing various tax returns.

　　Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for financial analysis and reporting.

　　Support operations with reporting and other assigned tasks as needed.

　　Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

　　Minimum 2 years of experience in Corporate Accounting role, with exposure to fixed assets, sales and use tax, reconciliations, and journal entries preferred.

　　Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

　　Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.

　　Experience working with ERP systems like NetSuite or other systems

　　Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

　　Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

　　Requirements

　　Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

　　Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

　　2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Skilled with ERP systems

　　Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

　　Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

　　Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

　　Knowledge of account reconciliation

　　Quality experience with University Degree

　　General ledger experience

　　Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

　　Sales and use tax experience

　　General familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

　　Proven knowledge of financial statement preparation

　　Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

　　Proficiency in bank reconciliations

　　Well-founded grasp of month end closings

　　Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

　　Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
