The Role

Skytap, a Kyndryl Company is looking for a highly technical, business-savvy, and customer-focused Global Customer Technology Advisor to work across the sales organization, assisting in configuring solutions, analyzing total cost of ownership (TCO), comparing competitive solutions, and identifying new sales opportunities within our existing install base.

This role is a key partner to the sales, pre-sales, and account management teams, providing the technical expertise and insights needed to drive revenue growth and ensure customers receive the best possible solutions for their needs. The ideal candidate will be skilled in solution design, financial analysis, and customer engagement, with a deep understanding of how to position our products against competitors in the market.

Your Responsibilities:

Sales Solution Configuration Technical Guidance:

Work closely with account executives, pre-sales engineers, and sales leadership to configure solutions tailored to customer requirements.

Provide expert technical and business analysis to ensure proposed solutions align with customer goals and budget constraints.

Compare our solutions vs. competitor offerings, highlighting key differentiators and value propositions.

Deliver compelling presentations and documentation to support sales engagements and customer decision-making.

TCO Analysis Competitive Comparisons:

Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) models to help customers understand long-term costs and ROI.

Analyze the financial and operational impact of deploying our solutions compared to alternative technologies and vendors.

Present data-driven insights to help sales teams and customers justify investment decisions.

Assist in preparing business cases and proposals that clearly articulate solution benefits.

Sales Expansion Install Base Growth:

Identify expansion opportunities within our existing install base by analyzing usage patterns, customer feedback, and market trends.

Work with account teams to develop upsell and cross-sell strategies, ensuring customers maximize their investment.

Partner with customer success teams to track adoption and uncover potential areas for additional sales.

Monitor industry trends and customer roadmaps to proactively position future solutions and upgrades.

Collaboration Enablement Across Sales Teams:

Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert for sales teams globally.

Conduct internal training sessions on competitive intelligence, solution positioning, and financial modeling.

Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and sales operations teams to refine messaging and solution offerings.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.

Who You Are

Qualifications Skills :

5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solution consulting, sales operations, or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, networking, or enterprise software.

Expertise in building TCO models, ROI calculations, and competitive analysis.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business value.

Proven ability to collaborate across sales teams, identify opportunities, and drive revenue growth.

Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales-driven environment
