Description If you're an experienced accountant with a keen eye for accuracy, there's an exciting opportunity through Robert Half for you to check out at a growing firm. Your responsibilities as Staff Accountant will include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility during the monthly close. In addition, you'll be in communication with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, participating in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes. A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This Savannah, Georgia based firm has a long-term contract / temporary position available, and offers an innovative work environment where effort is rewarded.

　　Participate in various department-wide initiatives

　　Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

　　Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision

　　Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed

　　Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

　　Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules

　　Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management

　　Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

　　Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP Requirements - Efficient in ERP systems

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　Fixed Asset Accounting experience desired

　　Experience with Fixed Asset Additions

　　Strong familiarity with Fixed Asset Ledger

　　Wide ranging experience with Fixed Asset Depreciation

　　Practical knowledge of Fixed Asset Register

　　Proven knowledge of Fixed Asset System

　　Quality experience with Maintain Fixed Asset

　　Well-founded grasp of fixed assets

　　Command of Fixed Asset Inventory

　　Fixed asset management experience

　　General familiarity with Fixed Asset Records

　　Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

　　Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

　　3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

　　Ability to meet deadlines

　　Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Great attention to detail
