　　If you're looking for full-time Staff Accountant work, Robert Half has an opportunity for you to become a critical part of the Accounting Department for a Brookfield, WI area company. To flourish in this role, candidates will need to be highly capable of handling a challenging work environment with many components. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you might be a good fit for this role. 　　Responsibilities

　　Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

　　Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

　　Take part in various department-wide initiatives

　　Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

　　Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

　　Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

　　Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

　　Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

　　Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

　　Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

　　Requirements - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

　　Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

　　Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

　　Recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

　　Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting

　　Journal entries experience

　　Vow to meet business deadlines

　　Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　Knowledgeable of ERP systems

　　Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

　　Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

　　Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
