Amazon Sports is looking for a self-starter excited to develop vendor relationships, run a P&L, dive deep into their industry, and operate a business in a constantly changing environment.The Senior Vendor Manager will interface directly with manufacturers and brands to build relationships and business opportunities. Within this role, the individual will set a business strategy, establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, and manage a P&L. In addition, this position is expected to provide leadership across categories - driving systems, process, and customer experience improvements - that will benefit all customers at amazon.com.The successful Senior Vendor Manager must be able to:- Define a strategy for the business and break it down into actionable goals- Understand drivers and opportunities of the category P&L- Manage relationships with vendors- Institute best practices and processes which can be replicated across all categories- Lead change with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlinesWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience- Bachelor's degree- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration- Experience using data to influence business decisions- Experience with business analysis and P&L management- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills- 5+ years working as a buyer in RetailOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
