This position supports the Chief Nursing Officer to whom it reports through ensuring, on a 24-hour per day basis, that safe, effective nursing care is given to patients in this area.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical nursing experience with knowledge of professional nursing theory; the ability to lead and direct a department toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; the ability to engage and motivate; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
