Your Challenge
The System Architect position provides the successful candidate with an immediate opportunity to be involved with the development of innovative technology that is helping to save lives, improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of healthcare across the globe. As a part of the Ultrasound Business Group Platform Architecture team, you will be challenged to create a new generation diagnostic ultrasound imaging.
Your Responsibilities
In this role as a System Architect, you will lead the design of hardware and software for the overall imaging system. Your primary responsibility would be to ensure product maturity state where the design is ready for commercial launch. For this, you will define subsystems and interfaces between them as well as overall system function and performance. You will be working closely with acoustic, hardware, software and other engineers to architect and implement. You will be required to stay current with industry technologies and help select those technologies best suited to the application and create roadmaps for evolution of existing products and new products.
equired:
15+ years of experience and BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent, MS a plus
Electronics design and test
Experience with risk management and DFMEA
Understanding of regulatory requirements like 60601-1
Knowledge of electronics industry technologies and trends
Basic knowledge of signal processing techniques
Ability to deal with ambiguity and bring group to convergence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, product managers, and clinical specialists
Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with medical devices and/or working in a regulated environment
Experience in product quality and reliability metrics, risk management, and FMEA
Familiarity with ultrasound or other medical imaging modalities
Preferred :
Experience designing electro-mechanical products
Experience working with suppliers
