CPM is looking for a Financial Director for our Packaging Group. This position will be responsible for the entire cost accounting function for specifically assigned CPM business units as well as supporting corporate accounting. Daily tasks may range from detailed data analysis and posting journal entries in the ERP system to preparing and presenting results to senior management. The right candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with CPM business units around the world. This position reports directly to the controller.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility in standard costing or project costing environments utilizing ERP systems
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills in a team environment
Motivated self-starter with ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing/assembly environment
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
CMA or CPA (update for UK)
SAP Business One experience
Experience with advanced financial planning tools such as Oracle or Adaptive Planning, and global ERP’s
Experience working in a complex global, multi-currency organization
Experience supporting long range strategic planning initiatives
Experience supporting executive level presentations, concisely summarizing financial & operational results and variances
Primary Responsibilities:
Key member of Packaging Group Management Team and trusted advisor to Managing Director
Analyze, interpret and present financial results to drive operational and financial improvement
Drive operational financial metrics and KPI's is support of continuous improvement initiatives
Supervision of accounting team at multiple locations
Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for the Group
Lead the preparation of the Monthly Operating Review and ensure compliance with all corporate reporting requirements and timelines
Lead annual budget, monthly operating forecasts and weekly cash flow forecasts in accordance with corporate guidelines
Provide thoughtful analysis of trends and growth strategies
Oversee all aspects of POC and WIP accounting, including accurate and actionable project variance analyses
Drive cash and treasury management for multiple currencies including accurate and actionable global cashflow planning activities
Direct statutory audit, reporting and income tax compliance leveraging local advisors
Manage all other HMRC obligations including Tax/VAT/R&D claims/NI payments/P11ds
Manage UK Company Secretarial compliance
Support global financial statement audit under USGAAP
Develop, lead, and motivate the Finance, Administration and IT Team
Drive continued consolidation and collaboration of trading entities within the Packaging Group
Complete all other duties as requested by the Managing Director
Participation on global corporate projects as directed
