　　Job Summary:

　　We are looking for talented and passionate engineers to join our Compression Systems Engineering team. We’re seeking a structural engineer to provide technical & analytical support for structures on commercial fan modules, with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of engine components. Specific structural engineering specialties may include static and dynamic stress analysis of airfoils including fatigue analysis and fracture mechanics assessments. Analyses may include both classical methods and detailed FEA.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Provide support for production and engine deliveries.

　　Execute structural analysis of fan module airfoils via hand calculations, 2D and 3D finite element modeling, using the latest P&W Engineering Standard Work, and analytical tools.

　　Support proactive activities to improve the producibility and life of parts.

　　Challenge our processes to become more efficient and more effective.

　　Document analyses and present results and associated recommendations to integrated part teams, management, and customers.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Civil Engineering.

　　5+ years of Engineering experience, or 3+ years with an advanced degree

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

　　Proficient in ANSYS or equivalent structural analyses programs.

　　Experience in fatigue and fracture mechanics.

　　Ability to travel up to 10%.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Civil Engineering.

　　Experience in Aerospace/Mechanical engineering with focus on manufacturing.

　　Proficient with P&W proprietary tools and Engineering Standard Work.

　　Ability to propose innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

　　Strong focus on results with the ability to drive tasks to completion.

　　Clear and concise communicator with emphasis on tailoring to appropriate audience.

　　Capable of working effectively and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

　　This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

　　The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
