Position Summary

The Sr. Solution Engineer is responsible for developing solution designs for integrated systems within the enterprise contract manufacturing integration and materials management area and corresponding set of applications. In this role the Sr. Solution Engineer will partner with Business Analysts and Technical Analysts to understand the overall business need, define overarching requirements and create high-level solution specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms and develop an overarching solution design and model that will support Stryker’s business needs. The Sr. Solution Engineer engineer is responsible for verifying the detailed technical documents, validating the configuration within the assigned applications, and ensuring solutions are delivered based on the architected design.

Essential duties responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall systems architecture, functional and technical design in the area of contract manufacturing (CM) ERP systems integrations with SAP S4 and SAP S4 materials management to manage design and deploy integrated end-to-end solutions.

Serves as the domain expert in providing application process analysis, architecture and system design, systems development, testing, implementation, training and preparation of our Stryker global template in the contract manufacturing (CM) ERP systems integrations with SAP S4 and S4 material management.

Perform activities following Stryker’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes.

Play a significant role within the Architecture Review Board, in not only defining application standards, but also driving the final decision on solution.

Accountable for the Solution Review Board activities driving architecture decisions, technical approvals across the application area, and alignment of scope against Run team minor releases.

Lead solution development and implementation for new systems and enhancements and participate in defining technical standards for the specialty area.

Produce or review detailed functional and technical documents, configure and/or develop within the assigned applications and understand the overall design and architecture of Ariba ISM upstream platform and deliver the end to end technical solution.

Play a key role in transitioning the knowledge of the new/enhanced capabilities (including technical aspects) to the Service Delivery Team(s).

Responsible for all technical design, prototypes/mock-ups, development, testing and delivery of solutions for release cycles and/or new projects within the Ariba ISM upstream space.

Review and Govern business process documents, application and technical specifications, test plans and cutover plans for go-live sites.

Manages resolution and communication of system production support issues with different stakeholders based on Stryker SLA’s.

Works closely with strategic solution partners, business process owners, architects/leads from other tracks and super users to close out every phase as part of deployment playbook or project methodology.

Proactively identify business and system improvements, make recommendations, take ownership and bring those initiatives to successful implementation in Ariba ISM upstream area.

Collaborate with other Global ERP Program teams, IT Business Partners, Build and Run teams, various Infrastructure teams, and Business Deployment teams.

Partner with Business Analysts in understanding system requirements and translating into solutions within an application and/or application stack

Identify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance and technical efficiencies.

Be able to support the business and recommend/provide holistic solutions that integrate the existing technical standards with the business needs and processes

Responsible for choosing the right technology platform for implementing an architected solution.

Manages and coordinates with external suppliers and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables, agreed upon timelines, and metrics

Hands-on experience across several disciplines.

Serves as domain expert in all aspects of architecting, designing and application development.

Formulates deployment strategies to ensure reliability and scalability for Stryker systems.

Assesses technological risks that could jeopardize the growth and/or operations of the organization; makes recommendations on applications retirement.

Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level specialist.

Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the systems development concepts, practices, and procedures.

Writes specifications, develops solution concepts and artifacts.

Develop and build robust integration with Infrastructure, Security, Governance, Service Delivery, etc.

Financial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables.

Special projects/assignments as required.

Education Trainings

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study required.

SAP S4 MM certification is preferred.

Qualifications experience:

Minimum of 9-12 years of professional experience with SAP full life-cycle implementations

Minimum of 7 - 9 years of SAP S4 and non-SAP ERP system’s integration project implementation experience in intercompany materials management and integration with other process areas

Understanding experience of SAP IBP supply response planning process

Deep understanding of systems, configuration and business processes within SAP S4 MM and intercompany.

Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills including the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

Strong Integration experience of SAP with non-SAP external systems.

In depth understanding of the SAP Materials management intercompany processes and integrations with other areas e.g. manufacturing, sales distribution, planning and finance.

Ability to work closely with other technology disciplines across integration, data, security and reporting

Good understanding of recognized ERP implementation documentation methodologies,

Good understanding of RICEF and customizations in a complex environment.

Experience and demonstrated understanding of global system rollouts – strategy, planning, vendor selection and implementation planning.

Knowledge of and ability to drive IT methodologies such as ITIL, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development is preferred.

Extensive knowledge of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IT requirements

Experience working with executive business stakeholders is required.

Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrixed organization

Experience with process mapping, documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.

Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.

Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive business results

Strong data analysis, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to maintain strong relationships within program teams across Stryker divisions and geographies.

Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications.

Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.

Ability to drive initiatives and projects independently from start to finish

Strong knowledge of Excel Advanced, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Access DB, MS Project Suite (MPP/Visio/etc.)
