What's the role?

　　You will be writing software to enrich and curate records representing the millions of places/points of interest on our world leading global maps. Some of the daily fun will include the following:

　　Tackle interesting and challenging problems of large-scale data management and enrichmentDeveloping content management, measurement, visualization, and editing toolsPerforming data processing and analysis of data signals from various sources (vehicles, cell phones, web, data providers)Building cloud-native microservices and functions in the AWS cloud computing environmentA chance to interact with customers, both formally and informally

　　Who are you?

　　Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent, To be successful in this role, you'll have much of the following:

　　4+ years of software development experience, Excellent applied skills in Java and/or Scala programming, in combination with backend architectures, messaging technologies and related frameworksStrong and applied experience in REST based web service technologies, JSON and XML, SOA and micro services architecturesStrong and applied DBMS & SQL skills, with a strong preference on PostgreSQL / PostGISStrong and applied skills in frontend technologies like React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScriptStrong and applied AWS skills (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda), as well as experience with virtualization tools like DockerGood knowledge of using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), code collaboration tools (e.g., Git/GitLab) and team collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence/Wiki).Good knowledge of Linux/Unix – familiar with shell scriptingAble to translate business and architectural features into quality, consistent software designStrong quality mindset is considered a must: unit testing, performance testing, writing testable codeWhat you'll Get:
