　　Job Description

　　The objective of the Space Protection and Response Solutions is to provide innovative technology solutions to ensure our Nation’s space mission capabilities in a multi-domain, joint and coalition conflict. We're looking for a senior software engineer to use the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling simulation (AFSIM) software to support space control and multi-domain operations. These simulations will support force structure planning, National Space Test and Training Complex – Digital, Joint Combatant Command analysis and operations support, Space Force testing and training, and research and development of space systems.

　　This job is primarily to develop AFSIM-based simulation software to support space control and multi-domain operations. These simulations will support force structure planning, Joint Combatant Command analysis and operations support, Space Force testing and training, and research and development of space systems. As a Software Engineer 4, you will be expected to maintain and manage workflow of junior engineers, in addition to leading projects under the Space Protection and Response Solution program. The majority of work will be remote (personal residence) with the expectation of periodic travel to locations with JWICS terminals for classified information exchange, Kirtland AFB for team meetings, and travel to support various customers across the continental US. This is a job that requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance .

　　Essential Job Responsibilities

　　Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Lead team of engineers and act as project lead when needed.

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

　　Strong understanding of user experience design principles, information architecture, and accessibility standards.

　　Passion for problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile development environment.

　　Understanding of Space Domain Awareness.

　　There will be a technical coding interview conducted prior to selection for a final interview.

　　Proficient in C+

　　U.S. Citizen Able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

　　Preferred Requirements

　　Proficiency in C#, AFSIM and Python desired.

　　Experience in US and Allied space enterprise position
