Description
At AWS Kumo, KumoAuth serves as the foundational component for implementing access control mechanisms within the AWS Kumo environment. It encompasses key functionalities such as Business Case Authorization (BCA), Access Override, Attribute Store, and CloudVault services. These services seamlessly integrate robust security measures with optimal user experiences, empowering AWS Kumo teams to safeguard customer metadata effectively while maintaining the usability of tools and the Console. Our goal is to provide a holistic solution that strikes a balance between security, automated processes, and the enhancement of customer trust, continually elevating AWS security standards. We are currently seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to take charge of system design, technical implementation, and the delivery of features for a new service. This service aims to enable users to securely access files containing customer metadata, thereby enforcing stringent security policies and mitigating the risk of information disclosure.

You will collaborate with engineers, managers, and product stakeholders to define the technical and product direction for your space, and influence the larger direction of Security practices and software development at Amazon. You will lead and provide feedback in design reviews, assist managers in setting the road-map, and contribute to yearly planning and product design, both within the Kumo Auth space and across internal teams. You will participate in the hiring process, and help to coach and develop other engineers in your team.
