Job Description
The Sr. Quality Engineer is the customer point of contact and the driver of improvement projects in the Quality Moulding area. Is responsible of setting the quality standards through quality tools, collaborate with other areas to reach the outstanding quality level.What your day will look like:
Responsible of support the customer and follow up the complaints: verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. Support internal customers where is needed mayor analysis.
Support of Moulding Operation and involved areas: Identify and implement improvement projects needed and share progress with partners. Support and collaborate with other areas as PPS, other Projects Engineering for productivity purpose. Implement Quality criteria of acceptance or reject of a product.
Calculate performance and analysis of trends by using quality tools and take decisions upon it: see opportunity areas of processes and elaborate and update KPI´s of area.
Lead and implement global and local projects related to quality.
Improve the status quo by using of LCI Tools and other Quality tools: responsible for maintaining FMEA and Control Plan updated, share reports and knowledge for using these tools.
Promote Quality attitude with team members: Influence with other areas to reach quality levels, share information of global projects.
Key driver for Productivity through the management of continuous improvement projects to generate hard savings.
Are you up for the challenge?
Experience in Manufacturing and Quality areas (Preferably experience in measuring devices and moulding process)
Education: Bachelor´s degree in Engineering preferred.
Skills: English at advanced; SAP.
Knowledge ininQuality Tools as FMEA, Control Plan, Process Diagrams and improvement tools as Lean manufacturing, ISO 9001 preferely TS 16949, minitab system. (R&R, Paretos, Ishikawa Diagrams and MSA)
Certfcations: Green Belt as must and Black Belt preferred.
