Summary About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, G-3/5/7, Tactical Pursuit and Containment Division, Training Support Systems Planning Branch located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Manage Army Reserve training policies and strategies consistent with Commander's Intent and IAW AR 350-1 and the Army Force Generation process to support United State Army Reserve Command (USARC) mission. Analyze Department of Defense and Department of Army policies to determine the impact on USAR training programs. Conduct staff analysis for USAR implementation and execution of training policies and specific training support requirements for USAR units. Create training statistics and analysis in support of Force Status Briefs, Battle Focused Readiness Reviews, and/or other Command Group or G-37 information requirements. Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying the integration of training automation systems involving the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures; preparing and presenting reports, briefings, information papers, executive summaries, coordination of staff actions and recommendations; gathering training information to identify and analyze training issues; and/or developing recommendations to resolve substantive problems in training automation integration. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) Education and Information Sciences Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. This position may offer a relocation incentive for current Federal Government civilian employees. This incentive requires a service obligation. If you fail to serve the specified period, you may be subjected to repay the agency recruitment incentive. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 3 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
